Clearwater International has advised PRIMA, one of the largest providers of private psychiatric care for children, adolescents and adults in Sweden, on its majority sale to Lideta.
Founded in 2007, PRIMA provides evidence-based outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care for children, adolescents and adults, as well as integrated psychiatric care for patients with light to severe substance abuse disorders. The company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, has an annual turnover of approximately €40m and employs around 460 people. PRIMA has, under the leadership of its three founders, established a position as a trusted and appreciated care provider with a clear focus on its patients and the general development of psychiatric care.
Lideta will provide capital, experience and support to further improve the state of mental health in Sweden. A small group of owners, including the founding team, will remain substantial minority shareholders and continue to develop the business in partnership with Lideta.
