Clearwater International has advised the leading recycling company, Stena Metall, on the sale of Stena Components to investment company, Lazarus Industriförvaltning.
The decision to divest Stena Components was made following a strategic review of the Stena Metall Group.
Stena Components offers customised steel components and advanced workshop expertise for the Nordic region. With operations in Nybro, Sweden, since 1974, the company has grown into a 13,000 square meters workshop with 75 employees and a fully equipped machine park.
Lazarus Industriförvaltning is an investment company that focuses on businesses that have exhibited weak historical profitability but show an improvement promising potential. Lazarus will support Stena Components with resources and experience to continue its development.
“Stena Components Nybro has been part of the Stena Metall Group for a long time and has contributed to the versatile customer offering. Stena Components’ operations are no longer part of the group’s long-term strategy. With Lazarus as the new active owner, we are convinced that the company can continue to develop its operations and profitability better to achieve its strategic goals.”
Jonas Höglund, CFO, Stena Metall
“Stena Components matches our criteria perfectly. We are impressed by all the work done in recent years to transform and modernise the company’s offering and we look forward to continuing this work in close collaboration with the company’s management and employees.”
Claes Jonson, Partner, Lazarus Industriförvaltning
